Oh, well that was a huge mistake I made and truly regret it. Is a close adaptation of Ultimate Spider- man cartoon TV series, but in a worst way. I don't know what's wrong with some people and film critics that rated this movie even higher than Amazing Spiderman. This movie is worst even if you compare it with Spiderman 3, which I hate most of them all. For a 1. 0 to 1. 6 years old kids at best it may has humor, but for ages above it's questionable and awkward. The biggest fail was that they gave us a Spider- man that seemed to be a big nothing if Tony Stark wasn't mentoring and helping him along with his tech support. Also, he almost has not any super powers.

He can climb walls and roofs.. That's all.. Oh, and he has a bit of strength.. No spider sense or any other ability. The spider launcher is an upgrade add- on from Tony's tech too. Peter character has nothing.. He's just a young nerd who lives with his aunt without any explanation.

All these things above can easily make you think that this is a superhero similar to spider- man.. More like a bad caricature. Yeah, I can agree with some saying that Tomy Holland fits more as Spiderman/Peter char but I think that all good things stop there for him.

Even some spider- man's cartoon TV series aren't so childish comparing to this film. They over did it.. Another big fail was with Flash, the known young boy that bulling Parker in school or high school. He looks like a mix of Koothrappali and wolowitz (big bang theory TV series chars). Keiton as a villain is fine, but for those that know the story of him is a big disastrous spin- off, also. The truth is that the film has so many spin- off characters and none in a good way.. They "butchered" everything and everyone.

The third and not last big fail was the use of other sub- villains that in reality had nothing to do in the film. They are just there for no reason.. They just fill some minutes to make this a +2h film. And I'm very sure that some of you will get a big shock with the use of 2x Shocker chars.. If you've not seen any other film or you don't know anything about spider- man, which seems to be extremely rare, maybe will find this movie cool. Otherwise, is not worthy to spend money to see it in a theater.. In DVD/b- ray is just fine.

Tom Holland as Peter Parker brings to the screen an innocent charm that renders him instantly likable. While the first two Spiderman films directed by Sam Raimi still remain one of a kind in revolutionizing the iconic comic- book character, Homecoming hits pretty close to home in terms of entertaining the viewer. Treat Homecoming as a puzzle piece in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and one shouldn't have too much of a problem spotting out the various characters and Easter eggs. The writers have attempted to tell Parker's story from a fresh perspective, incorporating some of the super- villains in a highly intriguing manner.

The main antagonist in this film is Adrian Toomes / The Vulture (played by Michael Keaton) who is apparently not on the same page with Tony Stark for taking over their 'city clean- up' job and putting him and his crew in a tight spot. This leaves Adrian with no choice but to salvage some of his findings and sell them off secretly on the grey market. Peter has been playing witness to some of the rather- petty crimes that are taking place in the city via the application of certain deadly weapons. He therefore readies himself to take necessary action against the baddies in order to prove to his mentor Tony Stark that he is indeed a true- blue member of The Avengers and not some random cameo- player. What I liked most about the Jon Watts film is the way it strikes a decent balance between Peter Parker the high- school nerd and Spiderman the superhero. Emphasis is given to Parker's personal weaknesses and sincere efforts have been made in the writing department (that includes Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley, Chris Mc. Kenna, the director Jon Watts himself and two others) to merge the figuring- out- teenage part with the larger- than- life element.

Some characters seem to have gone through a modern re- imagining. Take a look at Flash Thompson for instance.

This Flash ain't the hunk you have seen in the comics or the earlier film versions.
